Let me introduce myself

Hi!  I am Stacie. Author of this blog. And this one. I am a firefighter's wife and a Mom to two little redheads whom I will affectionately refer to here as "the littles".  I was recently introduced to the wonderful world of Wildtree Herbs and Spices, and since falling in love with their products, my life has taken an unexpected change. Ok, so "unexpected change" may be a little bit of an exaggeration, so let me explain.

You see, before Wildtree, my dinnertime menu consisted of about five or so dishes - tri-tip and mashed potatoes, steak and mashed potatoes, chicken and mashed potatoes, bbq ribs and yes, you guessed it...mashed potatoes, and when I really wanted to mix things up, I would make a skillet meal right from the (*gasp*) box.

As you can see, it's not the most creative dinnertime rotation ever, and certainly not the healthiest!  I've always been envious of those people who can throw stuff together on a whim to create amazing meals with whatever is in their cabinets. And those people who menu plan, on a consistent basis...well you folks just downright amaze me.  I'm just not, nor will I ever be, that organized.

But, for the past couple of months, I am pleased to say that thanks to Wildtree, I have become a little more creative in the kitchen. Now, don't get me wrong...we still eat a lot of meat and potatoes, but baby steps are baby steps and I think I'm on my way to toddling.

So here's the deal with Wildtree and this blog. One of the awesome things about Wildtree is that they create peanut-free, all natural food that is simple and delicious and healthy. The simple allows me to spend more time with the littles and less time prepping food for dinner. The delicious, well, it speaks for itself.  The healthy?  The healthy is just a bonus as far as I am concerned.  As for the blog? Well, I wanted to document and share with the world (or at least those of you who care to follow), my new adventure in cooking.

Now, pour yourself a glass of wine and let's eat!
